Wherever possible, only the most environmentally sustainable material options have been chosen for Freshwater Pavilions. Each and every process and component has been closely scrutinised before being selected for use.

Forest Stewardship Council certified timber, LED lighting and exterior Hebel wall panels (which have a carbon footprint of up to 70% less than a standard house brick) are just a few examples of the many low impact materials used throughout the site. Residents’ health has also been considered at every opportunity.

All interior paint contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), enabling you to breathe easy. The practice of rainwater harvesting has also been put into place at Freshwater, with two massive underground concrete tanks used to irrigate all landscaped areas and supply each home with water for use in toilets and washing machines. Residences are equipped with a solar/gas boosted hot water system and a solar power cell, providing cost-saving hot water and electricity with any surplus electricity sold back to the commercial grid.

Freshwater sets the standard for sustainable living. Never before has the Redlands area, nor the building industry, seen such considered design – contemporary yet sympathetic, catering to residents’ style as well as their environmental sensibilities.
